The Raised Eyebrow Society (TRES) is an ever-growing community of conscientious thinkers, writers, designers, makers, and doers from the advertising industry and beyond. Membership is open to all, whether you're an Adland legend looking to do some good on the side, a frustrated mid-weight searching for some purpose, or a junior just out of ad school intent on making your mark. We have plenty of briefs for charities, not-for-profits and causes for you to sink your talents into. You'll also come first when we're dishing out paid work.
TRES is about more than creative talent, though. We welcome anyone willing to offer their time, skills, and know-how to help us make the world a better place. If you're an experienced account handler capable of selling challenging concepts, a producer who makes shit happen, a social media octopus able to amplify our impact, a web 3.0 genius who can do stuff we don't yet understand or a brilliant film director eager to work on meaningful projects, please join us. It often takes a team of misfits to bring great ideas to life.
If you have a brilliant idea sitting in your bottom drawer that makes a positive social, cultural, or environmental impact, we want to hear about it. Ideas for charities, not-for-profits, and causes have goodness built in, but if the idea is for a brand, in addition to doing some good, it must work as compelling advertising. In other words, it must be commercially viable too.
Here's the deal: You send us a summary of your idea. If it's great, feasible and raises our eyebrows, we'll set about getting it in front of the right client. If they buy it, you get paid. If it's practical for you to make it, you get paid for that, too. If it's a pro bono charity job, you probably won't get paid, but your idea will be out there making a difference, and you'll get the credit. To be clear, we're not looking to steal ideas.
